The acting in this movie is so amateurish one would think that these idiots were pulled randomly from off the streets.

Ric Mancini (Mayor Cobb) was by far the only good actor here and he steals the scene in a brief 5 minutes.

wasn't he the actor that the studio forced the director to use? I think that was in the audio commentary

I thought he hammed it up terrible like. Stuck out like a sore thumb. Or a severed hand, or something.

There were a good few supporting characters whose acting was perfectly acceptable. Although this cast was certainly pretty cheesy.

This might have the worst acting out of the first 7 movies, but for me it only adds to that 80's slasher vibe - cheesy, exploitive fun with some gore thrown in
