Did people really dance like that in the 80s?

I was way too young at that time to recall seeing anyone mime dancing like Violet was. However, her dance was painful to watch.....like nut cracking painful

The dance was called the "robot", been around for a while. Most people I knew in the 80s that danced it where F-ed up on Quaalude's.

The robot dance took some kind of talent & 90% of us back in 80's dance badly like Crispin Glover...
