Pam's Fate
So what does everyone think happened to Pam at the end of the movie?

I think most people take the last two minutes as a dream and Pam lives.

So she dreams then wakes up but is still dreaming when the movie ends

Yeah, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but originally Tommy was supposed to become the new killer. So at the time the last scene was probably supposed to be real. But since that idea was scrapped and Tommy is normal again in Jason Lives, the dream theory is the most logical.
Either that or you could guess that it was real and Tommy was hallucinating or something and someone came in and was able to stop him before he could hurt Pam. If she had been killed I doubt Tommy would have been let go by the time Jason Lives happened.

The Part 6 novelization says it was real, but Pam talked Tommy down. She lived on....
shareShe turned around, screamed 'OH GOD IT'S ROY 2,' and then kicked Tommy so hard in the balls his face changed and his sanity was somewhat restored. The irony is that if only she did that to Joey and the rest the halfway house would have gone out of business.

I read that they filmed Pam talking Tommie down, so that he doesn't kill her. But they cut that out of the movie.
So she lived, in the original shooting script anyway.

Left open to interpretation, I reckon. The film does appear to indicate he will kill her. But Part 6 won't bite. You don't ever get an answer to this, so release the FAN THEORY!
shareA lot wrong with that final scene, though. The news clipping in Roy's wallet of a closeup of Jason. Why would there be hockey mask and knife in Tommy's hospital room? So I could see why fan theory would be encouraged to visualize this as something of a questionable "reality" scene.
