shareThis may be a bit off topic, and you probably know this already, but the music played during the "dream" sequence where they put together a wedding [personally, my favorite part of the film] is by Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays, off their album "As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls." It starts with the soft piano and builds with acoustic guitar and Oberheim synthesizer. Wonderful, evocative music.
There is also a clip of "Farmer's Trust," from the Pat Metheny Group album "Travels," attached at the end.
However nice the original score is for Fandango, it's really bolstered by a well assembled collection of additional music from multiple sources. Having said that, I wish you luck in tracking down the elusive original music. I just wanted to make sure that the music you were looking for wasn't available somewhere else, like the Metheny/Mays and Pat Metheny Group selections I mentioned. It's beautiful stuff, used really well in the movie. I'm not sure who did the music supervision for the movie; maybe the director should get credit for it. Good choice of music can transform a film, and Fandango is a great example.
