Goofs/ Technical/editing errors on final cut of the film

Did anyone notice - in the scene where Phillip is challenging 'anyone - anything-anytime anywhere' and Dorman stops really hard in front of the sign for the school-- they show a shot of them from the point of view about 5 o'clock from the sign towards all of them trying to figure out why he stopped so quick- they show in that shot Phillip picking his glasses up of the car's floor, putting on his glasses and starting to read the sign- then it cuts to an in car shot of the back seat - where they show Phillip again pick up his glasses and put them on his face to read the sign AGAIN? so he not only gets his glasses from two different locations in that part, but also puts on his glasses two times back to back even though he already should have them on from the first time. and NO it's not a POV movie filming effect or style- it's an editing error. I have owned this movie for a while- just haven't seen it in a bit- forgot about this goof. Any others you would like to mention? I know there are a bunch.

You are right... it's in the "Goofs" section on the main page, but hey!... it's a great movie, I'm sure you love it too, so why not just leave it alone and not pick it apart. There are NO movies that can have perfect editing. Think of your most favorite film of all time, or even one you THINK is perfect, then go to the IMDB page for that movie and read all of the "Goofs". Chances are, if it's a big production, say, Lord of the Rings(any), the editing will have dozens of "goofs".

I do love this movie- or else I would not have bought the movie or been a fan of it since I was a kid- I'm 35. I already said it was a goof- thus not tearing apart the film- you should also tell IMDB to not tear apart all the films by even having a GOOFS part of the site- LOL! It is an observation that I didn't see pointed out in any of the other goofs post in the message boards- didn't know there was a separate goofs section beyond the message board part when I posted this. This is one of my favorite movies. Glad you enjoy a quality flick like this also. I know there are no perfectly edited movies- some of the best movies have multiple goofs in them- I was just trying to keep at bay the people saying it was artistic freedom or some BS- no it's an editing error, No bad feelings- anyone else find any new goofs/Editing errors?

I agree with you totally here. I sometimes LIKE reading the goofs AFTER I've watch the movie to see if I either remember them or saw them myself. I like the Trivia part better.

The editing part of the goofs, doesn't bother me... what bothers me is the Anachronisms. Like the editing, it's hard to get every prop or set piece exactly right.... but to put something in a movie that's TOTALLY out of place, that people notice, is just poor judgment on the production crew. I'm watching Secretariat right now, among other movies at the same time, and someone says that someone else dresses like "Superfly". The part of the movie takes place in 1969... "Superfly" didn't come out until later. I was pointed out to me in the goofs section, but I wouldn't have put it together, 1) because I don't care... 2) it was a good line that fit the scene.

I think there are "people"(more than a few) that sit in a dark room all day and play these movies frame by frame LOOKING for something to post. It's like their job or something... hell, it may well be!
