wish more people saw this movie

Like pretty much everyone here. I was it while I was around 18-21 age for the first time.
It meant a lot to me about realizing my youth days were numbered and we would all go our seperate ways one day. Only being 33, I obvioulsy didnt have a draft to worry about when I grew up. But I could still relate to it. Lost contact with some of my closest friends I used to see all the time. You only really have friends like that when you are in that age range, than life happens. Sometimes when we get together it isnt the same, like when every night was an adventure. Life happened. We are all lot more reserved now and most of us just work sort of meaningless jobs that we go to day after day. It kind of feels the same way to me when Gardner raises his bottle. That eventually the past bleeds into the future which is alway uncertain, so when you are in that moment enjoy it.

When Phil does that turn around it makes you realize maybe you should have taken some more risks or not worried too much about your grades, or getting that job right after graduation. Many lines stuck with me my whole life.

"Going no where is a prillivage of youth"

"That's all love is....thoughts really"

NOw I look at it and miss my carefree days. The opening sequence in the car captured the time in life. The sequence at the end with all the music during the wedding is one of the best sequenes ever on film. The turning of the page.

How on earth this has such a terrible IMDB rating baffles me. Anyone reading this right now prob loves this film. So go a head and vote it a ten.

I love the movie too. And agree that it captures those feelings that many of us had, and are now gone.

I saw this movie for the first time a few weeks ago and thought it was funny but I have watched it a couple of times since and I now find it really sad. It's important to Gardner to have one last adventure because he realizes that this is the last weekend of their youth, the last weekend they'll all be together as friends, they'll never all live together again and may never see each other again, on Monday they all go their different ways.Philip doesn't seem to get this at all no matter how many times Gardner tries to tell him, the most poignant moment for me is when Gardner says "one day Philip, when you're old" and Philip still doesn't get that he's trying to make memories for them. This is a great movie. Kevin Reynolds should be proud of it, Quentin Tarentino is right.
