HELP PLEASE mystery movie ?!

Movie is from the 80s..As I remember it similar to this in a way..It is about some big foster home and family and it is about kids who want to build a spaceship or a rocket from some motorbike parts. AI also remember some native amercian kid who rode that rocket and went to the sky....
