When they crash the Thunder Road into the snack shack, there are a couple cuts to the actors from the drive in movie which gives the impression that they are reacting to the crash. When I was a kid I thought that they crashed through the wall and disturbed the filming of the movie which was filming live. Anyone else?

Funny what we think of when we're kids! No, I always thought it was just a well-timed edit to show the characters in the movie react to a blast at the same time as the crash for humorous effect.

shareI think my first time watching this film was when I was in Spain. I was around 13 or 15 years old at that time when I saw this movie. They use to show it on cable there in Spain. I had a huge crush on Amanda Peterson and when I first saw her in this film and then Can't Buy Me Love before Patrick Dempsey was known as Dr. Mcdreamy from Greay's Anatomy.

Yes, I thought the same thing. And if you listen carefully to Starkillers dialogue from the point after the Thunder road destroys the concession hut, I think it was ad-libbed by Picardo and the actress with him.
Who would have thought that variations on the 'anal probe' joke could make its way onto a family film...
