A Blu-ray Collector's edition of Explorers

in honor the 30th anniversary of the cult Sci-Fi family film, Explorers, Paramount will soon have special features like cast & crew interviews, Behind the Scenes photos, Trailers, TV Spots and deleted scenes. they're will be two versions of Explorers, the theatrical version and the home video version which included Ben saw the Thunder Road in his classroom after he saw the glowing of the amulet that Neek gave to him.

it's up to Paramount. we saw Explorers on Netflix in its theatrical form.

Ok that's for the info

Don't listen to him. Joe Dante has said all deleted scenes are lost, and the idea that Paramount would release 2 versions of a movie they have never invested any money in previously is insane.

I don't know why he's saying it but there's no evidence for it at all.

It's already been released by Shout! Factory. It has two blu rays, one with the theatrical cut and one with the home video version. It includes an extensive making of documentary with interviews with the creators, including Ethan Hawke. It also has quite a bit of deleted scenes, including one where a gadget the aliens give to the boys causes the bully's clothes to fall off. Unfortunately, the only commentary track is for the deleted scenes.
