Missing Scene..

I first saw this movie back in the late 80's, and I'm wondering if later reprints of this movie had a scene missing. I remember Denise Crosby's character attempting suicide and being found in a puddle of blood. The movie's been played on cable quite a bit recently on a few different channels and I haven't seen this scene on cable at all. (Logo is the only station that edits the films to fit a TV-14 rating). Does anyone else remember this scene?

Are you sure that scene was originally in the movie? I read the book also, and yes, there is a character in the book who slits her wrist, and then Ann Child (Kay Rivers in the movie) takes that woman to the hospital.

I have the original-theatrical version DVD. I didn't see that scene, and the directorial commentary didn't mention any scenes being cut either.
