This movie makes me realize something
– – It makes me realize that I like country-western music from the olden days – and the 1950s Reno Nevada environment!
I always say I'm not much of a fan of country music. But I guess that means Southern country music, or country settings like the one in the movie HOPE FLOATS (1998). But I realized that I do like the West – at least when set in the 1950s or 60s, because to me Western country of a little bit more on the fun, glitzy side – while Southern country is more on the somber, sentimental side (not that there's anything wrong with that).
I love the character of Silver too! I think she sings good as well (if that's really her singing). For anyone interested, if you're a fan of the lady who played Silver, Andrea Akers, check her out in the movie MOMENT BY MOMENT (1978).
Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!
