They killed the Giggler, man.

They killed the Giggler!

They had no business doing that. None... That wasn't smart. No, not too smart.

"The Giggler" had to go!

reply

Why? He was a high spirited young man obviously misunderstood by society but beloved by his fellow gang members, killed in his prime by a sadistic old man.

reply

This movie gets no respect, and because of that no one understands how great that scene was.

reply

Plus Bronson pulled off a 45 yard perfect upper torso hit on a running Giggler to boot! I don’t throw the word “Epic” around often but Death Wish 3 certainly is.

reply

While I will say it doesn't have the same street justice feel of DW I and DW II it certainly is a good film.

reply

I just love how all the residents rise up to help Bronson in the sweeping victory. Another highlight for me is the police chief running around pulling off long shots with his snubb nose. Great stuff!

I just watched this flick for the first time and it's so much more fun than the first two. Not saying I don't like the first two. I just love how chill Charlie Bronson is the whole time. Plus that bazooka kill at the end, classic.

HELL YEAH!...THANK YOU CANNON PICTURES.

That was the change in the DW series, I and II are meant to be drama but by DW III all bets are off, a straight action flick with little in the way of story line. A very great action film but it did kind of sully the legacy of the first two. Today the Death Wish name is looked on as an action franchise but I wonder what the public's perception would be if the series ended at the second movie or even just the first.

DW I and DW II are like Jaws and Jaws 2. Both have the same general look and feel and while good sequels they really bring nothing new to the table. Jaws 3 is certainly no DW III tho.

reply

Oh yeah, those first two are serious, dark and grim. Even the score in this one is changed to make it almost feel light hearted in parts. The end song is some upbeat jazzy piano music. Lol
