'This is Manny Fraker. Listen, I'm gonna need some more guys.'

"As many as you can spare me."

I never knew gangs had a lend-lease program where thugs are on-call to offer their services. Also, the way Fraker makes that phonecall plays off like he's some kind of franchise owner, requesting more cases of chicken nuggets because he's running out.

reply

I thought the exact same thing.

reply

He wasn't calling another gang; he was calling Kelley Temp Services.

I worked for Kelly Services for a couple of years in the late 90s. I lost count of the number of times when I got sent to be reinforcements for a gang war. The pay rate wasn't bad, but sometimes they'd only give me a toilet plunger as a weapon.

Hilarious but after watching several seasons of "Sons of Anarchy" -- they do a variation of the same thing. Clay or Jax will "call Tacoma" if they "need more heat." No difference...maybe they were inspired by this movie?

If you had seen "The Warriors", you would understand how this is possible. In "The Warriors", Cyrus, the leader of the Gramercy Riffs, united all the gangs in New York. They can now collaborate on projects like this. They have unionized. They have 401K's, child daycare, profit sharing, etc.

CAN YOU DIG THAT, SUCKAS!!!!!!!!

reply

I always wondered who was paying Fraker's phone bill.

reply

Charlie was paying the phone bill. Thus, Collection Time, Charlie!

reply

By far the most "awesomely-bad" movie ever made. Terrible but hilarious action-packed movie.

reply

He called Cyrus from The Warriors. He was the man in charge.

Can you dig it?
