I think so, as much as I loved the original I think they could do a remake just as good or how about a new version of D.A.R.Y.L. something like D.A.R.Y.L. 2.0 maybe.What kid would you like to see play the new Daryl? I think Oliver Davis who plays Alex Taggart on ER would do a good job.
