D.A.R.Y.L. score ripped-off by Jon Brion for I Heart Huckabees

Surprised no one mentioned this, but the score for D.A.R.Y.L. is remarkably similar to the score in I Heart Huckabees. Check it out

I couldn't find a video of the score in DARYL, but if you watch the first 10 mins of the film you'll notice the melody is strikingly similar.

Are you a redditor? I think you posted DARYL among your top 20 on there recently?

reply

Ah no, I think you might be thinking of the Upstream Color IMDB forum where I mentioned that. Yes DARYL is easily one of my favorite films and has been ever since I saw it as a kid. Even to this day it stirs up specific emotions in me that I know no other movie will come close to reaching.

Since you are very familiar with this film maybe you can answer this:

Does this movie have scenes where a kid is taken to a cabin or old house/shack with wooden floors?

Is there an open casket scene that takes places outside in a somewhat wooded area?

Not sure if this is part of DARYL or other movies (Konrad seems to be one possibility) that people confuse with that movie.

reply

No neither of those scenes are in this film. I haven't seen Konrad, but it could possibly be that film. Sorry I can't help you out more. :(
