I'm glad to see that the public can get to see this bonafide gem, and it will not be forgotten, however, I believe you mean, "'(It's) about time...", if I'm not misinterpreting your intention.

The story is king.
I was trying to remember this movie and the scenes I had in fragmented memories from when I was a kid. Everytime I would catch a glimpse of watching DARYL it would never be from the beginning but already be about half an hour in. I just finished seeing it a few hours ago and this was the movie that had me stumped for the longest. What jogged my memory, was the car chase/helicopter scene at the beginning, the Pole Position gameplay by Daryl, and the way Turtle referred to his sister as "Hookie". I had a great time reliving a bit of my past from when I was a kid.
