DARYL will appear in DVD format this year (2004)

The DVD edition will appear in october, 19, 2004 in USA. Also, Explorers and another sci-fi titles of the 80s will be appear in late 2004.

well it's about bloody time. i'm sick of looking for all these old 80s movies at video libraries, only to find that they don't have it, or have a really crappy copy full of static.

This is indeed good news. I have often wondered why this 1980ies classic wasn't to be found on DVD.

I just picked it up today, I am watching it now. Man it brings back alot of good memories. I really enjoyed this movie, and had it taped on vhs from cable years ago, but havent seen it in years. Good picture although the sound is only in dolby surround.... figured that they would have remixed it like they are doing all the others. But over all, still a great movie.

It has just been renewed in a 2.35:1 anamporphic widescreen through Columbia Tristar. It has no extras though, but the budget price (RRP $14.95, but I got it for my little bro for $10) seals the deal.

Yes, the DVD is out in Australia. It's also out in Europe.

The movie's aspect ratio is 2.35 but the dvd details says it's in 1.85, why in the world is this?

ten years later and it would be nice to have on Blu Ray in HD at least by the end of 2015.

I found an HDTV Rip of this a few days ago....looks really good. The only odd thing is it has the Paramount logo at the start but the opening title says "Columbia Pictures Present"
