This is just one of those good "bad" films.

Besides, Wendy Schaal is cute.

reply

and it's really gory, too.

reply

Dude, are you seriously kidding me? This movie was terrible, nothing but blood, and dead bodies. Did you watch this movie or skim through it? Wendy schaal, whos she. she must not be one of those high paid actresses. Besides if your in it for the girls rent a porno. This movie lacked sufficent plot, and it looked too much like Alien. If you want to watch a real classic see Alien or the Thing. Those movies at least have a plot.

I wasn't looking for a classic movie when I watched this, I was looking for a really gory movie. (I was in one of my things) And guess what, I found one! Woohoo.

reply

Obviously you have very, very, poor taste in films.
Shoot pass kick there ass

reply

I do not have poor taste in films, I just love gory movies.

And I don't love only gory movies. I've seen a ton of non-gory movies and enjoyed them.

reply

You do have poor taste in film. Yeah you love gory movies, gory movies with no plot. You must have a lot of time on your hands

Enough time to watch "The Street Fighter", "Nosferatu", "Zombie", "The Green Mile", "Versus", "Phantom of the Paradise", "The Thing", "Alien", "Aliens", and "The Longest Day" all in one sitting. Imagine all the crap I do in one day!

your only 14, get a girlfriend, walk the dog, play a sport, why does all your time consume movies?

reply

"get a girlfriend"
I would, but I tend to avoid them.

"walk the dog"
Don't need to, he *beep* all over the house.

"play a sport"
I'm trying golf

"why does all your time consume movies"
Ther's nothing to do on weekends.

(how the hell does he know i'm 14?)

(oh. i should have known.)

By the way, you make it sound like it's a bad thing to enjoy watching bad movies.

reply

hey hockey player, for a know-it-all jerk you could use a spelling lesson. It's THEIR ass, not THERE ass. Idiot.

What do you, come on IMDb to act superior to film buffs because you "play a sport"? Kiss my ass, meathead.

I'll tell you what...you can watch Alien and The Thing for the 300th time and the rest of us, who want to maybe watch more than 2 sci-fi films for the rest of our lives, will use this site.

Why don't you go elsewhere to offer your thoughts, like a sports website, because you sure ain't welcome here.

Why does all your time consume arguing with a 14 yr old? A 14 yr old needs to develop his taste in movies. By the time he's the ripe old age of 19 like you he'll have much better taste.

reply

Hey, just cause its a bad film doesn't mean it doesn't entertain! Yes Creature was a bad Alien ripoff, but the shear badness and the gore entertained and thats why it has a place in my DVD collection. I love "A" grade movies like ALien and I love "B" grade movies like Creature. As long as the movie entertians....

reply

Cheesily good - Yes. Gory - No.

See 'The Beyond' to enter a world of gore you could not possibly imagine...

That sounded like a cheesy 80s tagline, though cannot hope to compete with 'Titan Find's' (UK title) taglines;

"It kills to live, and it lives to....kill!" (see trailer link)

"First you die....then the horror begins."

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. The one on my video isn't quite as bad;

"Where space ends, hell begins."

Out of interest, what are your favourite cheesy taglines?

reply

I like the nightbeast tagline "if you have guts...He Wants Them!"

reply

[deleted]

Awww, A jealous, cowardly Nightbeast at heart then?

I just remembered another classic - Dolls!

"Your never too old to play with dolls...until...your...DEAD!!!"

Notice the slight logical error there?

Keep 'em comin. I love this s$%t!

reply

Not gory? Who are you, Leatherface? LOL I own Fulci's The Beyond and yes, that was ultra gory, but Creature has plenty of gore in its own right. To the average person, this movie would be really gory. To a Fulci fan...probably not.

Skimming back a bit, my favorite cheesy tagline was for a mid-80's Dutch horror import called "The Lift", about an possessed killer elevator. Yeah, you heard me...a killer elevator. And the tag line:

"Take the stairs!! FOR GOD'S SAKE, TAKE THE STAIRS!!!"

reply

Ha, I've always loved The Lift's tagline.
Of course, one of my other favorites is from The Mutilator
"By sword, By pick, By axe, Bye Bye"

reply

In the US, it's a public domain title, so it's bargain bin material. Also, Wendy Schaal voices Francine, the wife, on "American Dad". Good show, if you're a liberal (though I know conservatives who enjoy it).

Edit:in short, it's on DVD in public domain.

I remember watching this movie 7 or 8 years ago when i was younger, i thought it was really weird then, and hokey. But I still liked it because Ive always liked cheesy B horror movies. I also like Klaus Kinski (the crazy survivor), so even though this movie is no The Thing (best horror movie ever), its still entertaining, and if i find it in some bargain bin for 4.99, ill definatly buy it.

reply

I just got it on region 1 import under the American title " Creature".

It is a low budget "Alien " rip off ( imho) but entertaining enough if you have 90 mins with nothing better to do.There are worse movies out there.

reply

just saw the UK trailer for The Titan Find and the tagline was:
"in space, man is just another butterfly"

If you love Jesus Christ and are 100% proud of it copy this and make your signature!

reply

You've got it all wrong, dude. I've seen so many bad-but-good films I can't count them all. And gory...far from it. Lucio Fulci's The Beyond or Zombie. Try Takashi Miike's Audition or Ichi the Killer. Try Shogun Assasin. The recent Evil film. Wild Zero. Demons. Hostel. High Tension. Hellraiser. Old Boy. Evil Dead...

OK, so now I'm getting into some good ones. I could go on for days, but there are more films to be watched. Sounds like you've got some work to do.

reply

I agree, it was an awful rip-off of Alien, bad acting, music and sets but boy oh boy, what a laugh! Chewing gum for the eyes!!! Fun entertainment, but make sure you have seen Alien First, so you can compare to this awfulness!!!
