Did anyone know the name of a movie similar to this?

I enjoyed this movie about an alien attacking people, but the alien in this movie (about an alien) kind of reminded me of another alien from a different movie, which was also about an alien. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of the other alien movie, or the name of the alien from the other alien movie. Does anybody know what alien movie I'm thinking of? It's got an alien in it.

You'll have to give me more info about the other movie that you are referring too. I am a big fan of this type of film. So, if you give me some more details about said film I may be able to let you know the name.
