The mistake people make when they call it a bad movie

I first watched this movie about 20 years ago, and I was influenced by critics who called it a bad movie, so I watched it and I agreed. But watching it now, I wonder how did I miss that this movie is an action COMEDY?? The director obviously has fun with showing Schwarzenegger as a super killing machine, and Schwarzenegger has fun too and enjoys it, they don't take it seriously like Rambo (not the first movie, which was good, but all the others). It's not a militaristic propaganda, on the contrary, it's a parody of them, like "Starship Troopers" (although this one was a bad movie, because...it was just bad!). I didn't take the movie seriously even for one second, and I had a great time watching it.
