Are we crazy or is Cindy's little red convertible car the same one Maxwell Smart (Get Smart) used to drive? Is it a Sunbeam? Cool. Who would have thought that little beater would keep up with a Porshe sloper?

The car may have been a hunk-a-junk but you are forgetting who was driving it.
Sully's Porsche would still have had the edge though yet as he was out on a 'slash hunt' he had left his 'Short Round' patented foot-blocks at home and couldn't reach the gas pedal properly enough to floor it hence his slow speed getaway. Poor Sully paid the price for his vanity.
