Is there much baseball in this movie? Could it be considered a "baseball movie?" Or is it just a side thing?

As my namesake may have noted, "It stinks!"

I would say its just a side thing,most of the movie is about him spending the 30 million dolars,with just a few baseball scenes.

It is a side thing. Monty is a minor league baseball pitcher nearing the end of his career when he gets an offer to be rich by spending a certain amount of dough within a month. One way he decides to do it is by financing a special exhibition game with the Yankees, although it should've been 9 innings, not 3. After that, Brewster retires from baseball.
