Hume Cronyn

Just had to mention how funny Hume Cronyn was in his brief appearance on that video will. Cronyn was hysterically funny as he gave Monty the conditions of the will...another great acting talent who is missed.

Yeah he always makes me laugh on that part of the movie too.

"When your down here with me you'll float too!!"

reply

Yeah, and remember when he seemed to answer Monty's question when Monty said, "Why can't I tell my friends?". He goes, "Because I don't want nobody helping you out!" How did he know Monty would say anything?

reply

classic comedy.

Hume Cronyn, Richard Pryor and John Candy.... All three of them were funny and are sorely missed. Really came home to me after watching Brewster's Millions again on TV tonight. Fun film!

Don't forget the great Jerry Orbach, who played the manager of the Bulls. What a great humanitarian he was. My friend knew him for years, since The Fantasticks is his favorite musical and Orbach was in the original production. When I saw the beginning scene with him, Pryor and Candy at the jail the other night, I realized that all three are now gone.

It's sad, isn't it?

"You don't get....DIDDLY!"

Haha. Cronyn was great. Great delievery. And very believable as a miserly old multi millionaire.

Just thinking about his lines crack me up.

"Greetings from the grave. Did you know that your great grandfather was a *beep*?"

"They say you're my only living relative. Look at you, a failed baseball player."

"We're going to have some fun! Hahaha.....(ohhhhhh)....(ohhhhh)..(ohhhhh) (breathing into his mask, pushing away the nurse)."

"Or you can go for the big one Brewster. The $300 million. But if you fail... you don't, get...DIDDLY!"
