Torchy's Bar
Torchy's bar is in 48 hours and Brewster's Millions. And the bartender calling the cops in Brewsters, is also in 48 hours as a girlfried of a suspect. I believe she's a bartender at Torchy's also. Cool how Walter Hill did that.

walter hill uses Torchy's bar in many of his films...48 HOURS, STREETS OF FIRE, THE DRIVER, BREWSTER'S MILLIONS...its cool, in my opinion

I just finished watching the movie and out in front of the bar, it looks like the photographer is driving the same sky-blue rag-top caddy Cates drives in the 48 hours movies.
shareNot to mention..the reporter chuck lidell all thru the movie was the same actor playing the bartender at torchy's..his cowboy hat is taken..in Eddie's new sheriff in town scene.lol
shareYup. Noticed the bar - which seemed to be green-screened onto whatever was there. You can tell because the name shakes slightly compared to the rest of the shot. And then noticed that it was the same chick making the phone call as it was in 48 Hours. And then I noticed that the reporter was the same guy who said, "How about a Black Russian?"
This was very distracting to me. All I could think about was when was Billy going to show up? Or Luther?
I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.
Walter Hill likes to use a lot of the same people in his films... Alan Autry, for example played one member of the announcing team during the Yankees game, and was "Coach" in Southern Comfort.. Ry Cooder scored it, along with Southern Comfort, and of course, Crossroads (released later in 1985).
shareAnd don't forget, also according to the trivia, the bookie is wearing the same suit Reggie wore in 48 Hrs!
