Something I don't understand about John's supposed image

Andrew says that "the guy lies about everything anyway." I can't remember a single instance of him lying in the movie, though. Am I remembering it wrong or something? The closest I can think of is his thing with Vernon when he kept saying he wanted another detention, but that's not really lying....

the only thing about lies is that they have to be proven. Bender proved he was abused by the actual cigar burn on his arm.

the thing with 'thugs' is that they are usually viewed as lying about anything and everything to get what they want or sympathy/get out of trouble. and Andrew [although I love him] is talking out of his ass about this. he has no idea of Bender's reality nor does Andrew prove to us how much of a liar Bender really is.

It is weird about 'once a liar always a liar' and people's thoughts on others who 'are always lying'. who says they are lying? maybe you are not believing the truth, which happens most often.

funny thing about abuse now... even with burns and marks, you apparently can't even prove abuse now...
heads up it reads FATAL CHILD ABUSE SYNDROME, not fetal alcohol syndrome.

and acs knew of his family for years and did nothing but 'work with this parent' [their MO which sucks and is a total cop out.]

Oh God. Fortune vomits on my eiderdown once more.

Bender's actions speak louder than words. He was in detention for pulling a fire alarm – a false alarm. Therefore, his act was a lie about a fire. Plus, he lied when asked if he took the screw out of the door. He did not tell the truth. But I concede that he was not fibbing as much as causing minor damage to library property...
