Will the new DVD has missing footage? (nm)

If you are referring to the infamous footage involving melting skeltons via "Raiders of the Lost Ark" style, my guess is a resounding NO. There's no way Disney would ever let that footage ever see the light of day . . .

Of course not! Kiddies wouldn't want to buy it if they did. I am still curious what deleted scenes they will have though.

From what I am understanding there will be a couple deleted scenes, I know that many fans of this film have been emailing and phoning Disney letting them know what it is they want to see on this dvd. I know I personally called them numerous times asking for the deleted scenes of the green vapor mist skeleton scene, where the goone gets this throat slit, and the extended scene where Taran goes after Henwen and the Gwathant attacks more harsh and in full force, there is said to be more blood in that scene and a little more action.

The one scene that I know they are adding into the deleted scene selection is the almost 10 minutes of the fairfolk. In this scene we are treated to a score and animation, I was told two different things, one is that this scene takes place as the all the fairfolk are looking at Taran and Co. And the second thing I was told is that this scene is when the fairfolk are taking Taran and Co to the marshes of Morva. This is when they are being lifted into the air....

I have heard of other scenes that were cut, however as mush as I love this film, I believe it would benefit having added the scenes into a deleted scenes area, or if they were to give the consumer the option to play the unrated version or the regualr edition. Kinda like Pocahontas and Lion King and Beauty and the Beast.

Also I don't think Disney will be releasing this title this year, with all of the hype and calls and emails that they have gotten, I am confident that they might put some heartfelt effort into this.

As graphic as some of the cut material may be, I do believe it would be an incentive to include these cuts in this release. If one were to access these deleted scenes, there would be a warning that some of the deleted scenes are graphic and may frighten small children. They should get someone like leonard Maltin to do some epic intro to the movie and talk about some things like it's "In the making" and the deleted scenes and alert the viewers of the graphicness that is in them.

By the way, zakima2, did you acutally talk to someone at disney with regards to your requests to the deleted scenes they should include? I'm kind of curious, if you did talk to an actuall person, did they give any indication as if to some of the graphic footage would be included?

Get a load of this!!!
