Creeper brings it way down for me

The Horned King has some potential as a villain, but aside from his monologue early on, he's constantly surrounded by his henchtroll, Creeper, and I gotta say...Creeper pretty much ruins the Horned King for me, and really hampered my enjoyment of the film as a whole. He's not funny, he's not scary, he's just an annoying little jackass who makes dumb jokes, mugs, hams, and destroys most of the mood and tension that the film seemed to be going for. Not that I think the film is really as dark as it gets credit for being, but Creeper really doesn't help.

Gurgi was annoying too, but at least he had some function in the plot to fulfill. Creeper is just one of those comic-relief characters so extraneous that no one in the film even pays much attention to him.
