This could've been a MASTERPIECE but it is in fact a flop. It's too bad
There's so much to admire about this movie! The score, the visuals, the story itself is so creepy and compelling.
And yet so much of it falls flat.
I also think this is one of the worst disney animated voice casts. Taran, Gurgi and Eilonwy are nails on chalkboard.
I think at the end of the day it was such a wildly ambitious film for Disney to make, and you feel the sense of they were weighed down by the task of it and ended up with a subpar product.
I definitely think this story deserves another treatment, whether by disney in live action or another company though.
