What happened to Lane Meyer after the movie
After beating Roy Stalin on the K12, and winning the heart of Monique, Lane decides to take his newfound confidence and '67 Camaro to the mean streets of LA for some underground street racing.
Monique helps Lane install NOS, and several other "upgrades". The Camaro is no longer street legal, so Lane must putter about town during the day in his beat-up station wagon. But at night, the Camaro destroys opponent after opponent. Lane Meyer is the man to beat.
Soon, a street racer by the name of Dominic Turretto challenges Lane to a race for slips. After a bit of thought, and with Monique's approval, Lane accepts, and prepares to race. Behind the wheel, feeling confident, Lane looks over at Turretto. His foot flat to the floor, smoke flies from the fat BF Goodrich tires, the air fills with smoke and the smell of burning rubber!
All of a sudden, the temp light appears on Lanes dash! A feeling of panic overtakes him as a hot latina girl with big jugs gives them the go for that quarter-mile. But...he sees the silhouette of a paperboy on a BMX bike in the headlights illuminating the road behind him! Without a second to lose, Lane shifts into gear and pounds the gas. The 400 small block screams bloody murder and launches off the red spray-painted starting line. His body glued to the seat, Lane sees Turretto take a commanding lead after hitting NOS!
Not willing to lose his beloved Camaro, or face the wrath of Johnny, Lane bides his time...the engine is ready to overheat as it reaches top RPM...Lane gets within 50 feet of Turretto. The quarter mile approaches! Lane reaches over to the radio knob which acts as his NOS button. At the precise moment, Lane hits the NOS sending bright red flames from the dual exhaust pipes. Turretto watches and yells helplessly as Lane screams by him, winning the race by about two car lengths!
Lane takes possession of Turretto's ride. He has beaten the best. Charles DeMar raises Lane's hand in victory, with Monique holding Lane tight. Lane wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer.
