What do you like better? Better Off Dead or 16 Candles?

Better Off Dead by a landslide!! It's just more funny, especially with the paper boy (two dollars!) I even like it better than The Breakfast Club.

What a coincidence.

I rewatched "Better Off Dead" tonight and I watched "Sixteen Candles" for the first time last night.

Anyway, I definitely prefer the former title.

I can't believe that John Hughes could have made a film as poor as terribly contrived and obnoxiously unfunny as "Candles."

If listening to Katy Perry and drinking margaritas makes you gay, who wants to be straight!

I have to agree that Better Off Dead is WAY funnier and now more of a classic than 16 Candles. The better question though is which is better- Better Off Dead or One Crazy Summer? I love them both so much and always have to watch them together myself...

I've always loved Sixteen Candles and Better Off Dead. Growing up, I think I watched Sixteen Candles a bit more, though. I recently watched Better Off Dead again and thought it was still hilarious. Both movies are great, and their plot-lines are pretty different, so I feel like you can't really compare them to each other.

Better Off Dead for sure. It's Cusack's movie and he has a lot more screen time 😁
