One problem with the movie
Beth is a narcissist and is superficial. If I were in Lane's situation I would not want her back if she decided to break off the relationship for a dumb social perk. Goes to show what kind of a person she is.

shareThe one problem with this movie is that it sucked
shareWell, yeah, but they were together for a long time. Lane felt upset over Beth dumping him for that jerk Stalin and couldn't brush off that loss.
shareI don't think that is a problem, I think it is actually kind of the point. That he was totally obsessed with this chick who really was nothing more than a pretty girl to the extent that he didn't even want to live without her and in a sense isolated himself and then he realizes it and wonders what he was so hung up about. This happens to people quite often--it has happened to me as well. Although I was never as obsessed as Lane was in this film, which was obviously exaggerated for comic reasons, haha. ;)
Seriously, I still look back at a couple of people I was worked up over in high school and I am downright embarrassed over it because there was NOTHING there and nothing to be interested in whatsoever.
"Why couldn't the monkey arrange this from INSIDE the garbage can?"
A few of you poster's need to spend some time on the sofa( aka shrink).
