I agree. My favorites are.

1) Karate Kid
2) 16 candles
3) Back to the future.

I'd rate Back to the Future higher than Batman. But the they are all 80s classics.

Could The Road Warrior(1982) possibly be the best movie of the 80's? It certainly had a ton of success especially since it was a movie from down under!

Not quite the best, but close. I think there are better movies:

The Empire Strikes Back
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Amadeus
Robocop
Die Hard
