Small Wonder is one of my all time favorite shows!

Small Wonder is one of my favorite shows of all time, and was an extremely innovative one, especially for it's time, beginning in 1986. The plot of such a show required tremendous resources that simply weren't available to the producers, yet they did an excellent job with what they had. The fun part about the fact that Small Wonder had a budget about 1/20th of some other shows at the time, is that it leaves so much to the imagination. This is where opinions about the show become separated.

Those with good imaginations seem to love the show, because they can all see so much more in it, in real time, as they're watching it. They don't need every last conceivable detail shoved in without grease, through their eyes, and ears. Unless you're brain dead, the idea of actually living with a state of the art android (a pretty one at that) breaks one's doors to imagination wide open, and the stories told in the show become limitless, and fascinating.

That considered, I can then understand why those who have no imaginations, and prefer to be spoon fed over the top, candy-coated types of shows that turn off your mind, would say that Small Wonder is the worst show of all time. As hard as their feeble little minds try, they just can't see beyond the show's small budget. So, when they watch a show that doesn't look like a multi-million dollar music video, their lack of imagination has their brains fumbling for something to do. This irritates them. They become confused, and frustrated with their lack of brain power, and must then insult others to establish their own false sense of intellectual superiority. This is achieved by posting hate rants comprised of single, poorly written, run-on sentences full of spelling, and grammar errors on boards like this.

Obviously, they can't hate the show as much as they claim they do, because if they did, they'd have no reason to have spent any time on this board in the first place. The haters had to specifically look for this board, so obviously, they come here just to try to bring people down, because what they actually hate is themselves. Most likely, they enjoy the show to some degree, but are afraid to say so, because Small wonder isn't the "cool" thing right now. God forbid anyone thinks they enjoy anything that's "not cool".

There you have it. The best way to eliminate the haters is not to respond to them at all, or just wait until they eliminate themselves in a fit of self hatred. If the haters do go out of their way to respond to the positive Small Wonder fan's posts, then they have simply done the fans the favor of proving me right.
