Family Guy Makes Another Reference to Small Wonder?

In the episode "Hannah Banana," which aired tonight (Nov. 8) at 9:00, toward the end as Miley is preparing for her next performance, the crew backstage open up her back, at which time Stewie and Brian find out that she is an android. Does this remind anyone here of the many Small Wonder episodes in which Ted opens up Vicki's back to work on her and program her to do things? Discuss.

Normally, I'd say it was a coincidence... But I did notice Miley's back panel did resemble Vicki's. Like wires in the same order and everything.

Why does this surprise everyone ? The creator of Family Guy was very much a 1980's guy. Look people, the 80's wasn't 100 years ago. It was only 20 something years ago. The creator of Family Guy loves the 80's and was probably a teen or 20 something hold in the 80's. He was able to remember the 80's in great detail. I remember the 80's very well and I was only a kid at taht time.

Family Guy contains many references to 80's America culture and many TV shows. Small Wonder, Mr Belvedere, you name it.

I love the 80's and that's the only reason I watch Family Guy is to see the 80's references.

He also does references to the 90's, another decade I lived through and loved. I was a teen then.

On this note, the creators of South Park are also 80's guys and throw in a lot of references from the 80's. They were also probably teens of the 80's and they used Colorado as the setting because they might have been in Colorado in the 80's
