I'm curious to know whatever happened to the cast members of "Small Wonder" & where are they now.
Hear's the list of the main cast of the show: Dick Christie .... Ted Lawson Marla Pennington .... Joan Lawson Jerry Supiran .... Jamie Lawson Emily Schulman .... Harriet Brindle Tiffany Brissette .... Vicki the Robot
I remember seeing "Small Wonder" in the mid to late 1980's & I thought it was a pretty good show. I would like to see a DVD release of the show sometime in the near future.
The only cast member I've actually seen on TV lately--lately as in this past decade--is William Bogert who played their neighbor Brandon Brindle. I remember seeing him on Chappelle's Show and A Perfect Murder.
We're not losers. But hey, this is America. The beauty of being an American is the ability to express your opinion without having a gun to our head. So if it comes out on DVD, don't buy it if you hate it so much.
I wasn't born yesterday. I just look like I was. --Harriet Brindle
If you can't respect the opinions of your fellow users, you don't belong here. This message board would be a better place without people who have no respect for others' opinions. So if you can't respect the opinions of others, don't expect them to respect yours. This is a democracy, not a dictatorship.

Geez Sambuca, I believe Mastaclocksetta was just talking about the United State's first admendment "freedom of speech" where people don't have to worry about being arrest or beaten just because they're expressing their opinion. Believe it or not, not all countries have the freedom to speak what's on their mind without being punish. Having people like you lash out at American's just because they mention they can talk freely in their own country just makes look prejudice. Grats to you for having the freedom of speech but don't start bashing a country u know nothing about except from the media, cuz god, the media ALWAYS report the truth. -_- Small Wonder is an American show btw, why are u bashing the ppl who created the show u so "adore"? Kinda like saying "I hate fatty food cuz it makes me fat", but then u eat it anyways LOL. There is nothing wrong with people having pride in their own country, open your eyes to reality buddy. Back to the topic, Tiffany Brissette who plays Vici is now a missionary, youth counselor and vocalist at the Solana Beach Presbyterian Church in San Diego. As for the others, I don't know. haha
yes this show was awful, but it was so bad that it was good in a campy/funny kinda way, and became a cult hit among college kidz (which was not originally the intended audience).. I would LOVE to have it on DVD!!!
sheesh u haters! I loved this show and didnt care if it was bad show.. at least they tried and it was still funny.. u people truly have no respect for old days television
...for everyone on this board, we all obviously watched it so what's our excuse? I always thought this was the worst show in the history of television, yet I have seen far too many episodes than I care to count. No excuse really, just extreme boredom or retroactive bad taste. (I wish the cast and crew well though...) Now let's dispense with the grievences and bury this beast.
I don't speak for everyone, but perhaps people want this show on DVD is because they can watch something they have fond memories of when they were younger. I don't know if I would buy it on DVD, but I'd enjoy watching it. I think I was about 4 when I watched this show. I know it's dumb, but it entertains me because it's a flashback to my childhood.
To call someone a loser only for watching something like this is what any attention-whore would do.
you're completely right. The last time I saw small wonder I was probably 5 or 6 and my mom would get home from work and watch it with me. It was the best time of the day for me. Therefor, I don't really remember, nor do I care if the show sucked or not. It brings back good memories for me. Remember Mr. Belvadere? Was that show any good?
Who cares, It is still entertaining to watch. Yeah it wasn't going to win any awards, But it's part of the 80's tv series and I appreciate that. I would buy it on dvd.
Don't know how reliable "Jump The Shark" is, but one of the posters said that Tiffany "VICI" Brissette will be one of the house guests on the next season of VH1's "The Sureal Life". Even stranger still is the fact that Brissette is a Practicing PSYCHIATRIST in Southern California.
Edie McClurg (Bonnie Brindle) is pretty successful, being in several popular movies (Ferris Bueller and Planes, Trains and Autmobiles and Elvira mistress of the dark) and is mostly seen as guest appearances in TV series now.
Alice Ghostley (Ida Mae Brindle) went on to become a regular on Designing Women as the insane Bernice Clifton (she was soooo good in that role).
I've seen a lot of crappy posts here, but I just want to say that I also hope "Small Wonder" comes out on DVD. I went on amazon.com a few nights ago and voted for it to come out, and I guess that's the best thing we can do right now. When you ask them to email you when a show becomes available, you're also voting to see it released. The first show I did that with was "Fresh Prince of Bel Air", and now look - several seasons are already available.
That being said, some of you are really going to say shame on me for this, but I never watched a single episode start to finish that I can remember. All I really remember is the intro and the monotone way in which Vicki talked. (Hey, she's a robot, as we established.) The intro in itself, though, left a big enough impact that I remember the series largely for the theme song, which I always thought was great. There are a lot of tv shows from the 80s that I didn't watch then, but now wish I had, and I end up buying the DVD sets usually either for the show's reputation or perhaps the intro/theme music (Danger Bay and Airwolf are good examples in the theme song department - I only watched maybe one episode of each, but theme songs of both songs are permanently etched into my brain). And anyone who had a crush on Tiffany Brissette, I don't blame you guys one bit - whoever said she didn't show much emotion as Vicki would know better than I, but even I remember that smile she gave in the intro, and it was worth a lot. ^_~ I only regret now that I always changed the channel once the intro was done - I was a typical pre-teen back then, only interested in watching cartoons, and only watched live action stuff if it was a movie, not a sitcom as in "Small Wonder"'s case.
It would be great to see "Small Wonder" come out on DVD, so I can have another chance to watch a great show that my limited tastes cheated me out of in my younger years.
Devon Odessa went on to have a sizable part (as Sharon) on "My So-Called Life" in the mid 90s. As for the rest of the cast and crew, I believe that everyone who had a substantial role on the show is now on death row somewhere. None of them committed any murders or anything, its just that it was judged that only spending the rest of your life in prison for being involved in putting out this show was not enough of a punishment.
The most successful cast member was EDIE MCLOUGH something like that, the chubby actress who played Mrs. Brindle, Harriet's mom, who lived next door. She had already done many movies and TV Shows. She was in "FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF" as the principal's assistant. She was on an episode of the GOLDEN GIRLS and she was also in THE LITTLE MERMAID. She was Carlotta the maid who helps Ariel put on a new dress. She continued to do many shows in the 90's and even in recent years (2000's). She was in an episode of Malcolm In The Middle from around 2003.
Everyone else - Dick Christie (Ted), Marla Pennington (Joanie), Tiffany Brissette (Vicki) and Jerry Supiran (Jamie) never had success after Small Wonder.
Tiffany (Vicky) appeared in a few early 90's shows (such as Parker Lewis Can't Lose) but she got out of the business. She has not done anything since the start of the 90's
