Between 8:00am and noon EST weekdays on Game Show Network, they air classic game shows, such as:

Family Feud (with Richard Dawson (RIP))
Password Plus
$100000 Pyramid
$25000 Pyramid

as well as Super Password, which was hosted by Bert Convy.

Watching an episode yesterday, right at the beginning, Gene Wood, the announcer, introduces the guest celebrities. It started:

From "Small Wonder"....

THAT piqued my interest IMMEDIATELY!

....Edie McClurg.

I was kind of hoping for Tiffany Brissette, but Edie will do.

(Tiffany would have been probably 13 or 14 at the time.)

As well, the other celebrity guest was none other than John Astin.

I remember him first and foremost as the game show host on "National Lampoon's European Vacation".
However, everyone else would remember him as Gomez Addams from "The Addams Family".

I usually fast-forward through the celebrity interviews. However, for this one episode, I didn't.

Edie did a plug for a new movie coming out in which she plays the school secretary.

That movie?

"Ferris Bueller's Day Off".

Classic.
