I think you are the cause of this. I think you are evil. EVIL!!!

reply

Mark is such an annoying character. A scene with Mark and Brad is annoyance hell.

Mark was beyond out of order, he's like a curtain-twitching, old woman.

reply

Mark's annoying voice getting all shrill: "Oi! Don't chuck the bouncy ball at the curtains, Aaron!"

reply

I think he was looking out for Elly but still, he was out of line.

reply

I was a bit surprised actually. He's not usually this bad?

reply

No, he was particularly awful with Ned.

reply

I think he was too...not that it's any of his business...but he has zero people skills in order to go about it.

reply

It also might be possible, giving him the benefit of the doubt, that he knows about Regan's (that's her name, right?) husband being a criminal and part of his nosiness was that as well. But that only works for part of it, so.

reply

Is it Ned's old gang?

reply

We don't know yet, but that could be interesting and at least somewhat justify Mark's interference. Somewhat being the operative word.

reply

Does Mark know Ned was in a gang? I wish Ned was permanent.

reply

I don't know if he does, but that could be interesting. I'd love to see him in as I think Josh's absence is really felt and I think he'd fill a part of that gap for Brad and his siblings and maybe cause some weird tension for Therese - not sexual, but more a "my kids have a brother but it's not Josh" type of thing

reply

He does fill the Willis kids void nicely.

reply

He really does, so hopefully he might come back again.

I read in a magazine who Regan's husband is and I actually am not so annoyed any more with Mark - Regan's husband is Jacka. Which makes sense, he knows Ned, who went off just after Jacka got put in prison, maybe he went to see how she was coping and things happened.

Plus it makes sense that Mark would definitely be wary of his wife turning up. So I'm still a bit annoyed with Mark and how he handles things generally, but I get why he was suss.

reply

Yeah, I get it now with it being Jacka...Mark still deals with things in a terrible way, typical small town copper.

I just dislike Mark in general.

reply

I was just like "now it all makes sense" when I saw that. And there's more to come with Jacka too, which should actually be interesting.

He really does deal with things the worst way. I was discussing the show with someone recently and we both agree that he's very one eyed - like when he was accusing Paul even when there was actual, clear evidence it could have been someone else.

reply

Yes he is, it's annoying as hell but also pretty realistic. The only unrealistic part is that he doesn't get more formal warnings for his shenanigans. He's kinda like the new Mrs. Mangel in many ways - that makes me like him a bit more.

🐨If I wanted to listen to an ass hole, I'd fart. Captain Spaulding, 2003.🐷

reply

It is, and it's a definite character flaw that can be relatable at times. That really is, but then I think that's a part of TV cops in general. I like that!

reply

I wish Matt was still around to reign him in.

reply

Matt... Lauren's husband who died?

reply

Yeah, Matt would have been his boss and they didn't get on too well.

reply

That could've been interesting. I only saw him in that dream sequence recently but for what I saw I liked him.

reply

He was OK, I wasn't a huge fan, but it'd be good to see him be Mark's boss.

reply

To be honest, I think it would make Brad and Lauren too difficult to get behind if he hadn't died or otherwise gone out of it. Just from reading up on how it played out a bit.

reply

Yeah definitely, his death was the only way that story could move forward.

He was less of a dick than Brad.

reply

I won't get started as to how bad the episode was with the stupid pigeon race, Paul's cunning cat plan, snake guy reappearing so I'll just comment on Mark.

Yes what's his go. It's absolutely none of his business as to Ned's love life... seriously taking photos... he barely even knows Elly so what does he care... and she's flirted with every guy in Erinsborough (including Mark) herself. Stay out of it dude FFS.

I'm writing this signature in bold so people know it's a signature
