I really liked the moment when Aaron talked about being a father tonight. He may have his moments, but Matt Wilson really brings the acting sometimes. If we compare him to Michael Crawford, more a Phantom moment than a Frank one?
so far enjoying the surgoacy storyline and i guess I'm ok with the new paper/Tim slaming them but i swear if Jack starts getting all high and mighty about the subject it will ruin what been one of the show stronger plot lines of lately. Aaron mentiong kids was interesting wonder if same sex couple trying have a baby be storyline one day. They kinda dip the toe in subject with Chris having a baby but that was with a female not two same sex couple having the baby together and pregnancy /birth happen off screen.
Catholic church are meant be aginiest same sex relationships right? (honestly asking not meaning offend anyondt) have we seen Jack and Aaron interact?
That's a shame. I knew Abbott, (Twat-bot) was against it, (in an crazed-evangelical kind of way, right??), but didn't know how Turnbull felt,(I don't have a nickname for him, as he is literally named after a turncoat and and stubborn, aggressive, stinky beast).
He leads and represents people of that belief, though. So guilty by association in my book. To me, I really don't understand people's issue with it, other than bullsplat religious stuff. So I have very limited tolerance for those who are against it...That's where I start looking for subtext and hidden meanings.
Jack did say something about it, but he wasn't entirely bad on it - just said it wasn't god's will if science had to be involved, and that's a fair thing to say for a priest.
I would like to see that with Aaron and someone, I think it would be interesting.
I think we've seen Jack and Aaron, but I'm not sure.
I thought what he said was fine too. I don't agree, but he was passive enough about it.
Me too, a good guy.
Me neither, Jack certainly doesn't come across as overtly anti-gay, it would be interesting to see a church/Jack Vs Aaron/gay storyline though. It's probably too controversial, though.
At the end of the day, he is a very devout catholic so a bit of non-liberal thinking is excusable.
Shame. It would get covered in a British soap, (in Corrie we actually have a gay-priest/vicar story), but I get the impression Aussie controls are a bit tighter??
Yes, exactly. Though I would love to see some discussion about gay marriage on the show and they have Aaron so it'd be easy enough to slip into dialogue.
I also quite liked that we found out Mark's boss is gay (or possibly bi/pan) when she was talking with him about the IVF. Just casually mentioning it always seems a good thing.
