Most UK series run for what 6 episodes a series or so, well apart from a few don't they? If that's the case she probably could just take a few weeks off to film it. She'll be coming up to 3 years now so wouldn't surprise me to see her leave either.

I could see it going either way, as the other reply said, the series are generally short over there (even Doctor Who feels short comparatively), but she has been there a while.
As Paige is pregnant, it could be an interesting exit storyline.
