I think he might be the Tanaka boys' dad. I know he doesn't precisely fit timeline wise, but their dad is a doctor... maybe he'll help them find him if he isn't?
I'm wondering who the past love interest of Aaron's could be, I thought there was only Nate? I'd be happy to see him again. Though I suppose it may have been someone from the show before or someone from before he came on? A little sad if it's not David, though but he might be the slow burn romance.
Hoping that means that if they can talk him into it, we'll see Ned long term eventually, too.
Also honestly glad we haven't seen the last of Brooke. It would've been a bit abrupt to have it end like that.
And yay to what sounds like a proper love triangle with Paul/Therese/Gary.

shareI sincerely hope the writers don't water him down and make him boring or too "grown-up" as the loveable joker was the best thing about him, If he's kept the same as he was then or there abouts, I hope that it'll mean that the show is heading back to it's roots comedy wise and that can only be a good thing, but I'm not really confident, sadly!

I remember him on A Country Practice, I think it was (looking at his IMDB page) and he was lovely and a good actor. Did he and Paul not get on before? I hope not - I like when Paul has conflict. Mind you, I really like his and Steph's weird friendship as well - it is weird but it works.
Shane would be good. I approve of more Peter in anything, though.
