I know this has pretty much divided people here at least, and actually I'm surprised that I wasn't more anxious over the Christmas/New Year break but that's just what happens I suppose when you're busy and stuff (duhhhhh...lol), but it just really hit me today more than ever.......Not long until Toadie & Dee!!!! I think she actually comes back on the 20th. I saw that written in the spoilers somewhere. I just watched the summer episode with Toadie, going back to Colac with Stonie and seeing Ange. Wow, this got me really hyped up again. It's SO intense, that the only time in the past thirteen years now I remember feeling THIS riveted about "Neighbours" is the 30 year anniversary, which was pretty much a wash out for me anyway. And that would probably be the case here, if it wasn't for the fact that I just wanted to see Dee again for one more episode, and ANY kind of storyline to do with her. This actually counted as a Christmas present for me, believe it or not. I just can't, can't, can't, can't, can't wait. Go and check out the webisode if you can (not sure how people in the UK watch these?). Do some of you even need to be told??? I watched it on the tenplay site. It might be on the "Neighbours" YouTube channel. Just unbelievable.

You don't think it's ever going to happen - it's too interesting and too intriguing and too fanboy dream-ish haha - and then suddenly *beep* going down!!

Well, my view of it anyway. I TOTALLY get/understand/respect why others are so wary about all this.

I can't say I'm excited myself... I just don't have enough faith in the current writing team to pull it off well... I just think it's going to be a complete anti-climax. I really don't know how they're going to structure such a story in the space of a month, which is what I understand Madeline West's return is only going to be. It's too big a deal having Dee return to wrap up quickly, if they're going to do such a story then it should be minimum 6 months... the timing also seems very odd since they've built up the surrogacy story-line as the big story for the Rebecchis in 2017 and this will just coincide with it.

Mark's return from the dead was awful, and he wasn't even an iconic character... he only appeared in 2 episodes. I hope we don't see a repeat of that.

Kate: Sorry, I'm with Mason now

Yuck. I remember how awful that was. Wth happened? Brennan came back for like two episodes and then it was Kyle and Kate angsting over an affair for like six months. That was so stupid! I remember that specifically because I remember how much I wanted him to come back after he went into witness protection. Like how they've explored his background, with the brothers and the dad (what do you think they'll do with that since Russell passed away?). And Tyler and Aaron all really resemble him too. If you ever see a shot of Travis without the hair, I think he's wearing a suit in the photo, it's like young Mark Brennan! Brilliant casting! And he's a good actor too, not just the looks. Actually Tyler would have to be the best Brennan, IMO. But anyway...

With Toadie and Stonie, I'm not sure if they're as freaked out about this as they should be, so I don't know... I can only hope.
