Does anyone else feel this is the weirdest couple ever? I know Mark can't stand the thought of being alone, but he's good looking, he would never be alone for long. Why Steph? She's older than him, too old to have children, not that pretty...

I just don't get it. It feels like she was the only one single at the time, so ... let's hook them up..?? They're so weird together. Visually they don't look right together either.

They shouldn't be a couple. Sonya shouldn't be 'saving' a non-relationship by donating an egg to these two. Mark is young enough to break up with Steph, find someone else and have a kid the conventional way.

I thought he was going to get with Amy once Kyle left he'd have his already made family she capable of having more put Paul and Mark in each other paths again so got stoyline material. Could do whole oh "she related to Kate who was my one true love so I'm just drawn to her" soaps love using that angle

i was not fan at start not big fan now but i can tolerate them together now. Best part is he relax a little more and is less robocop with stick up his ass

I'm not a fan of hers but I wanted him to get back together with Paige at first. Not now as she's annoyed me too much. Then I wanted him to get together with Amy. Thought they would

Mark would have had a ready made family and Amy would have had a decent bloke plus Paul would've been involved. Mark and Amy would be perfect together

by today scene wouldn't be suprised if paige and mark reunite, she still loves him

She was emotional because Mark was talking babies and she had just found out she was pregnant herself so it was awkward as she couldn't say anything herself.

I've seen weirder couples on the soaps, honestly. They're near enough in age, compatible in as many ways as they aren't for me.

I don't think they shouldn't be a couple but I definitely agree Sonya didn't have to step in. If nothing else, there's adoption as an option for them to have kids if they want to, though I suppose there could be some issues with her background there.

Having Mark dating Amy would give Jimmy the stable father figure he needs too!! This one should have been obvious really! Maybe that's why they didn't do it. Sad though.

Steph is only 37, Mark would be 34-35 which is hardly a huge age gap. They're too early in their relationship to be thibking kids though and Sonya certainly shouldn't be ramming the surrogacy down their throats.

Adoption certainly could be an option. Not sure why they've not explored that. Maybe Steph's criminal record and mental health history could be an issue though. I don't mind them together but I think it was very rushed and certainly too early to be thinking about kids, but Mark's wanted that for years.
