Would they have dared to have 'Abo'ed on a deal'?

Having someone say "Welshed on a deal" and not have the other person say something like "drop the racism, or i'm outta here" was unpleasant to hear. Being Welsh does not mean being bad.

I heard the phrase on The Simpsons so I don't think it has anything to do with insulting Welsh people.

Supposedly from Edward VII, when someone didn't pay up on a bet, who happened to be Welsh, which has no relevance at all. Then it became a racial slur.
