Dee is Andrea

Who is Andrea??? This storyline is so confusing!!!

reply

I want to know how she knows so much about Toadie and Dee and all of that, honestly. It can't all be online. Maybe she knew Dee's sister?

reply

UK viewer here. I don't mind spoilers.

Are you saying Dee is not really "Dee"??? Because that's ridiculous if she's supposed to be an imposter with Dee's face!

If so, its starting to border on US soap territory...

reply

I think Andrea is Dee, but she can't remember it. I think Dee suffers memory loss and still doesn't remember a thing and has been going by the name of Andrea for 13 years. No one can look that much like another person... I have no idea who Willow is. Maybe she's the daughter of the woman who took Dee in?

reply

Right ok. I guess i'll find this out on today's episode - it airs this afternoon.

So i assume Willow is not Toadie's daughter then?

reply

Dee got a swop from Nelle and is faking the test that way Willow actually 15

I'm thinking she long lost evil twin which I'm disappointed in. Identical twins have the same DNA so it explain why it came back positive

reply

The weird thing though... when Mark asked for a swap of Dee's cheek, she didn't do it, she pulled a hair... There must be a reason for that? Because of that and everything else, I'm not sure Dee is actually Dee, but I would be disappointed in that outcome as well.

reply

Could she be wearing a wig of Dee's or her sister's hair? I mean, that's far-fetched even for a soap but the hair has to be from someone related because the DNA test worked. So it's going to be interesting at the least!

I'm currently voting for the amnesia idea - literal amnesia. Like she is Dee (somehow) or a relative (her sister), but she has amnesia and has been persuaded that she's Dee - maybe that's what this Emily woman is doing?

reply

The fact that she refused to give a cheek swap is weird though. And the kid is definitely not Toady's. I thought about a wig as well, that can explain the positive DNA test... but the hair had a root. Wig hairs don't have roots, do they?

reply

I read somewhere--I don't even remember where--that she might have gotten a bit of Dee's DNA ("DeeNA" lol) because she was in the house going through Toadie's belongings, hence why he could smell the perfume that day. And that's what she handed over to Mark, I think.

reply

What would Toadie have of Dee's that would have her DNA on it. Unless somehow she got a strand of her hair and was able to give it to Mark. Very clever if so.

reply

Remember how Mark and Sonya were going through the box of belongings? Maybe she found something there? Or there's something to do with that. Very, very creepy.

REAAAALLY want to know how Sindi figures in with all this now!!

reply

I suppose it's possible that Toadie had a hairbrush he never cleaned the hair from? But still, very clever and creepy planning.

I was actually googling to see if I could figure out if there was another movie with a similar plot, and on Digital Spy there's a list of theories - one is that it's Sindi behind it all... and seeing she's returning too, that makes an awful lot of sense.

reply

I get the feeling it's not Sindi either, but that she's played some kind of part in this without meaning to... and that it really boils down to whoever this Emily woman is. Sindi might be a red herring.

reply

That is weird. Oh definitely not Toadie's - though I can see her being adopted when everything comes out.

I don't think they do, you're right.

reply

I really wish the writers would've just stuck with the "I'm back from the dead" plot and that the kid was Toadie's.

I hate all this complicated stuff!

reply

This was my immediate reaction, especially after the episodes where she came back which for me were....omg euphoria.

But if she really is Dee, I think it's ingenious and well worth it. Problem now is though I can't "enjoy" it anymore because I just want to know.

reply

it doesn't make sense that she's an imposter does it?! what a bombshell episode

reply

Very disappointing!!!!!!
Toady and Dee seems so right, Toady and boring irritating whiney miserable Sonia seems so wrong.
Although the disappointment is bad this episode felt a bit "Sons & Daughters", which was my favourite soap.

reply

She has to be Dee unless Dee had a twin sister! You can't look identical to someone else unless you're a twin surely? Similar yes, but she is identical to Dee. Also that hair was pulled out of her own head, unless she has a wig on as someone else said. Very confusing!

reply

If she's an imposter, she would have expected a DNA would be asked. She could have been holding that strand of hair in her hands when Mark arrived. It had a root, so she could not have actually pulled it out of her own head.

And I agree, no one looks that much like another person, except for an identical twin.

The only thing I can think of is that she really is Dee, but she can't remember it herself. Someone could have told her "you look just like someone I knew, and her parents were loaded, so pretend to be her and we'll split the funds".

Or: someone (Andrea) killed Dee 13 years ago, than killed her parents and than her sister... to than fake being Dee and claim the money. Someone who said to herself 13 years ago "Huh.... I look like her, let's kill 'em all and take the prize"...

reply

Actually, I know of two actresses who are completely unrelated and look like they could be twins - Linda Hamilton and Beth Toussaint.

I do think it could be that she's Dee and doesn't remember it, though, and I would like that story. But yes, in real life, it is possible for someone to look that much like another person.

reply

It's entirely possible, but very rare. When I was moving all over the country, I saw doppelgangers all the time. I used to have one myself, apparently. Plus I am constantly getting similar actors/celebs mixed up.

However, to be so alike that you could trick your nearest & dearest - has got to be very unusual. Even identical twins look a wee bit different.

The DNA/hair sample - could have been the old switcharoo - but would have been much harder to pull off.

🐨Have you ever?...Ever felt like this?🐷

reply

Sorry I don't see that at all... a couple of similar features but twins no way.

I'm writing this signature in bold so people know it's a signature

reply

i never heard of beth so i thought linda was in bon jovi "she don't know me ".

reply

why does she need money ?

reply

swab . lol .the dna sample was in the bin.

reply

I agree, and the woman who took her in has been lying to her. Although, you would think this charade would trigger her memory. I still had the same theory, though.

Willow could still be Andrea/Dee's daughter.

🐨Have you ever?...Ever felt like this?🐷

reply

Willow could be Andrea's daughter, but not Dee's daughter. But has it even been clearly established that Willow is Andrea's/Dee's daughter? I don't know who else she could be though. You don't just pull a child out off thin air...

So far, it makes no sense, unless 'Dee' really is an imposter. But that would be a shame.

reply

How come she couldn't be Dee's daughter? If Emily lied to her and spun the pregnancy in to the lie. It's all very confusing.

I defo think they are biological mother/daughter, though.

🐨Have you ever?...Ever felt like this?🐷

reply

Because Willow' two years older than she should be to be able to be Toady's daughter, and Dee was in the show at that time, we would have know about the pregnancy. She was / is very slim, we would have seen it. So Willow can't be Dee's daughter... but of course she can be Andrea's daughter, cause Andrea's a total stranger.

Hoever, if Andrea in reality turns out to be the real Dee after all, we have to wonder "who is Willow"??? Because she can't be Dee's...

Does that make sense?

Oh, I enrolled on your blog for when IMDB disappears :-)

reply

Oh yeah - good point!!! I hadn't even clocked about the age thing. That makes sense now.

Unless her age is a lie to her too?

Very intriguing...I wonder if she'll be another waif & straif for the Kennedys, if not the Rebecchis?

Yeah, thanks(!), I saw. I have 'approved' your request.😀😃😊☺

reply

Your signature 🐨Have you ever?...Ever felt like this?🐷 Is that from that lighthouse show? Around the Twist? Can't remember the name... I used to love it. I live in Europe btw, I follow Neighbours on Dailymotion durning lunch time at work 😜

reply

Yup, round the twist, great show!! Makes me want to live in a lighthouse sooo much. Or windmill. Just anywhere funky.

Where abouts in Europe? I wish I was in Europe, but I won't get in to a Brexit rant here.

🐨Have you ever?...Ever felt like this?🐷

reply

I'm not from the UK so I'm moderately interested in the Brexit because it does have professional consequences for me personally. I live in Belgium, half French though and addicted to soaps.

reply

I'm 1/4 French. I've been to Brussels-fab city. Would love to go to Bruges.

I am still quite passionate and gutted about Brexit, but don't blame Europeans if they hate us.

Keeping on topic, I can't wait for the storyline to unravel. I reckon Willow will become permanent.

Which is good as we need the post Xanthe/Piper/Ben generation to start appearing. Sonya's sister could fit in to that too. Plus Karl's kid, Jimmy, and, a hopefully recasted, Charlie.

reply

*Edit* They're all 15ish, apart from Jimmy and Karl's kid.

reply

Yeah that's true, they're all more or less the same age... Jimmy is younger though... but Charlie is Jimmy's age and the rest could be Willows age, I have no idea how old Karl's kid is, but they can make her 15, and write her in the show.

And I hope Charlie is recast as well. I didn't like the actor. Reminded me of the old VJ in H&A.

I do like Xanthe/Piper/Ben, never liked Amber/Imogen and her twin brother (forgotten his name already).

It's quite clear now that Dee is not the real deal. Which is a bummer. I really hoped the writers had found a plausible explanation, and I'm still hoping...

reply

I thought Charlie was 14 when he was in it last year, but just very immature???

I don't watch H&A, but hated the actor regardless.

I love those 3 too. Amber was OK, but Imogen and Josh didn't appeal to me...Imogen grew on me a teensy bit, but I wasn't too bothered when she left.

I've not seen today's episode. It is a shame the story has gone this way, but I never saw the twist coming, let's hope it's a double bluff.

🐨Have you ever?...Ever felt like this?🐷

reply

Charlie was supposed to be 10, then they SORASed him to 12 (most likely cause the actor looked way older than 10)
