Season 2 episode 7. I just watched it and heard the WORST irish accent in my tv life come from that leprechaun woman. I never thought clare grogan's accent in father ted could be beat. But it has. Clare you now have only the 2nd worst ever irish accent in tv history!!

LOL, but the episode was great. I also have a new appreciation for David Patrick Kelly, at least superficially.
BTW, do you watch "Burn Notice"? A lot of people on its board complained about how bad the accent of the actor who plays Michael (I can't remember the actor's name) was.
I've just watched it, that's why I'm here. The eppy was called 'Under the Rainbow' and I thought it might be Moonlighting's take on the Wizard of Oz.

She started her curse with 'Eeek' and said it again and again. What the hell was that? I had ten years of Irish classes and I've lived and worked in Gaeltacht areas - Connemanra and Donegal. We have four dialects in Ireland - and none of them has 'Eeek'.
And stole a 1,000 gold pieces from the Bank of Ireland!!!? In 1964, that was the price of the entire country.
You're so right. Irish accents get bastardized by second-generation Irish-Americans working as accent coaches - but this one went waaaaaay beyond the pale.
