Just finished Season 1 tonight, and for someone who couldn't watch the series without buying the DVDs, it's proven to be a great investment so far!
The clashes between Maddie and David, the plot twists, the car chase in the season finale, the pool dive in the second episode, it's all so good!
I can't wait to watch Season 2 already!
Glad to see you are enjoying it! I had no doubt you would and I'm sure you will enjoy the next 2 seasons as well. Season 4 is when things go downhill but only time will tell if you'll enjoy the last 2 seasons (though the last one can hardly be called a season, as it is often the case with cancelled shows).
I like those scenes you mentioned as well. I'm curious if you have a favorite episode from season 1. Personally I loved the pilot (the office scene where David and Maddie first meet and the one where they are tied up in Maddie's kitchen are terrific) but I also loved "Gunfight at the So-So Corral" (especially the scene in the alley outside the seedy bar) and "Read the mind...see the movie". Too tough for me to choose a favorite, I'm afraid.
I told you it was worth it to purchase the show on DVD and I'm glad to see you are happy with buying them. You're in for a fun ride and I envy you; I wish I could wipe the memories of the show from my mind so that I could experience it again for the first time.
P.S.: IMO Bruce Willis is at his absolute best when doing comedy, much better then the tough guy action roles that would later define his career. It's a shame he doesn't get cast in roles like David Addison more often.
Just finished the entire series, even the later ones were worth watching. Would definitely recommend!
