One episode they are..One episode they arn't? * spoilers*

I could never tell if they was ever a legitimate couple? One episode they are telling each other they are in love and the next they are as cold and uninvolved as two socks. I thought they finally was becoming a real couple, Maddie had even stopped seeing her therapist. She even made a comment they would make it as a couple. The next thing I know David is shagging Maddie's married cousin and Maddie is OK with this?! I don't think the audience could ever get a handle on these two. I guess all they loved each other for was the sex. I also don't like how Maddie just seems to get over losing her baby in the last season. One episode of grieving? Why bother to write in the pregnancy if they would just end it that way? It's not like the show stayed on much longer and a baby for David and Maddie would have brought down the show. I was too young to watch this show when it aired so, I watched it through netflix for months and for this pay off? No wonder they yanked it. The writers must have been on crack, they made Maddie seem like a psycho. Would it have been to much to let Maddie and David have that baby and let the show finish with the baby bringing them together? I guess so.
