Greatest Episode.

After all David goes through for Maddie in Blonde on Blonde, only to end up in the rain, after coming out of jail, to find her with another man.

Honestly, it was heart wrenching to see it. Have to admit.

Great story arc.

It's no question one of my absolute favorites

Maybe not the greatest but I have a great affection for The train murder mystery episode.. Can't quite recall the title and can't look it upp inthe app. Would be nice if they could do multiple windows. Lol

I am still particularly fond of the episode "Knowing Her" with Dana Delany, to this day. The scene where Gillian (Dana) & David embrace during This Old Heart of Mine, cemented Bruce Willis' appeal to thousands of female viewers. You just melted when he said "C'here". Memorable episode.

Knowing Her was always my favorite episode too. It seemed to be a perfect mixture of comedy and drama.

"Every Daughter's Father is a Virgin" was an amazing episode. It centers around Maddie realizing that her father is cheating on her mother. The way that the piece of piano music called "Maddie's Theme" is used in this episode is absolutely heartbreaking, so very powerful. And the scene near the end when Maddie's emotions come to a head and she starts beating her father to the ground violently with her purse is very raw and startling. This episode is very moving, it's not a funny episode, but still really great.

I also love many other ones, like the one where Maddie and David go to South America to confront the guy who stole Maddie's fortune, and so many others...

Go scratch!

The ones already mentioned are superb, but the break through for the series to me, was the *first half of ep 4, The FIRST MURDER YOU HEAR. This is where David tells Maddie she is a stay-at-home at night, and has no courage to try to start a relationship. David like, he says, she's annoyed because others are "boinking".
This brings a Maddie like response where he's thrown out of the car. ;-/

That night Maddie gives in and goes driving, and listens to tapes by the dead disc jockey(talk host)give his quite sensative spiel; she starts to thaw, and next day decides to join David in investigating the case.
I believe this ep is the one that hooked a lot of folks into watching these two perform a new style "dramedy".

Atomic Shakespeare! "We hate iambic pentameter!" Amazing how that's stuck with me throughout the years.

Yeah, but ya gotta love that wedding. Where else do you get Fender guitars at a Renaissance celebration? At least *he was celebrating.

Maybe the *new X-File will have Scully and Mulder behaving like Maddie and Da-vid.

The one with Virginia Madson. I did not know that her career went back this far. I'm a fan of her work, but I had no idea she was ever THIS hot!

I think "The Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice" is not only one of the best episodes of the series, but also in my top 10 best hour long episodes of TV.
