David Addison turned into a jerk

Does anyone else think that Addison turned into a kind of jerk in the 5th season? And why did Maddie stop wearing make-up, she looked so much better with it in earlier seasons.

Question about Ms DiPesto. Is is she mentally challenged? She always walks weird and acts like a child, kinda like a special needs person.

I don't think he did. DiPesto is just one of those sheltered do gooders. I loved the show back in the 80's and still watch my DVD sets from time to time.

And Maddie turned into a bitch. Oh wait, she was one from the start, just got worse with each new season.
