I remember the good old days watching this

I remember back in the 80s and 90s when the Disney Channel actually had programs worth watching. Toon Disney was awesome with shows like Gummi Bears, Darkwing Duck, Talespin, Goof Troop, Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, Aladdin, and Duck Tales. But now? Theyre all gone and the Disney Channel is in horrible shape. Those in charge of Disney either should release these great toons on DVD, or bring them back and save the Disney Channel now.

I enjoyed watching this show when I was little,as well as the other classic Disney Afternoon shows. And it would be great if they were all brought back to television, as well as released on DVD, who knows, maybe someday they will be released on DVD, I certainly hope so.

It's repeated on the Disney Channel I read somewhere, I don't know for sure though

I got most of the episodes on tape and just love them just like I did when I was bout 10. I wonder if Disney will ever have the Gummi Bears on a movie, if the have for example Ariel, Aladdin and so on why wouldn't they have the Gummies too?

yeah it goes to how how old i am an old friend i had when i was little had every episode on beta tape...(dont know what that is im not gonna explain look it up). we used to sit at his house day in and out doing gummi bear marathons i think i've pretty much saw every episode over time. i miss the 80's cartoons all the ones they have today are for like 3 year olds.. not entertaining not worth watching really and very stupid! come on bob the builder... wtf!! spong bob and square pants... i dont think so... and there are others and the list is long.. but theres nothing based on adventure explosives, action, chases, an angry man of some sort wether it was the duke or gargamel!! its sad it really is thank god a few of the 80's cartoons are finally going to DVD!!

I like Spongebob! But I do miss the old Disney. It's just gone down the toilet in the past few years. Right now, I think TaleSpin is the only DA show still being shown on ToonDisney (although I've heard that they're bringing back Chip and Dale reruns and may work in a few other DA shows). And what the heck was up with Vault Disney being cancelled? I loved that. And something that I think had the word Ink in the title that was like Vault Disney. I think. My mom used to tape them all the time. Can Disney ever be saved?

I totally agree with most of you and especially GQuagmire. I couldn't have said it better myself. I am only 17 but I remember all the good shows that disney used to show. There were so many and I miss them. The disney channel has taken an awful turn and I don't want my children someday watching the crap that they now show. I wish the Disney channel would put back on the older shows that actually teach morals instead of showing children how to be stupid and rude to eachother. Not to mention having no respect what so ever towards there parents, talking back and having the parents look like they are total idiots. I would love to see the old shows on DVD. Lets hope something changes soon.

I really miss Duck Tales and Rescue Rangers and Gummi Bears and of course, The Smurfs!

Disney cartoons are pretty lame now. I remember the days of Duck Tales, Chip and Dale, Gummi Bears and Tale Spin. These were all excellent cartoons. Now a days they have loads and loads of spin offs from there films, like Tarzan and Lilo and Stitch. I don't know a lot about Disney cartoons these days, but I am 100% sure that the old disney cartoons were better.

I doubt that in 15 years people we be coming on boards like this reminising about disney toons of today

I remember watching those programmes all the time when I was little with great happiness though I am not sure what Darkwing Duck is. I was annoyed when I found out my mum had given away MY Ducktales Movie video but luckily I know the people who have it and I am bound to hopefully try and get it back.
There is a lot of rubbish on Children's TV, we had the best-apart from the Disney stuff that came over to Britain for Children's TV, we had Postman Pat, Thomas the Tank Engine, The Legends of Treasure Island, the Fantom Cat, the Animals in Farthing Wood, Noah's Island etc. Where have they gone?!?!?
Also (starting to ramble now)we had the best children's film out in the early and mid-nineties that most people have 'forgotten' about since they aren't 'cool enough' for today's kids and viewings. Remember The Secret Garden, A Little Princess, the Nutcracker Prince, Once Upon a Forest, Ferngully the Last Rainforest and quite strangely for many people though I love it A Nightmare Christmas? Where are they now?!?!?!?!?!?

I remember watching this show, too. I also watched duck tales and chip n dale rescue rangers. I even had a stuffed webby from duck tales and chip and dale from the rescue ranger show. i hate the new disney cartoons. The Proud Family sucks, that show called The Buzz on Maggie is lame, and that one called Fillmore or something is probably the worst cartoon ever. The spin off series like Lilo and Stitch aren't very good either. I will have to get Gummi Bears on dvd since I dont have any episodes on tape.

Gummi Bears was the BEST! lol Captain planet was ok..... The Disney Afternoon was the best line-up. I would be little depressed during the weekend because there was no Disney Afternoon on Saturday and sunday.

Gummi Bears was the best and the beginning of the disney afternoon line-up. DVD NOW!!!!!!! All the current ones out are illegal since Disney has not made on yet. Beware of quality and the seller. And, lets get Disney to release Gummie Bears like they did DuckTales and Chip N' Dale (afterall, Gummi Bears is way better than Chip N' Dale....)!

I was 5 when Gummi Bears first aired. I fell in love with the show instantly. A few weeks ago, I bought the DVD and watched the show again for the first time in about 12 years. I was worried that like many other shows I enjoyed as a child, it would not make sense to me now. Boy, was I wrong! It's still just as enjoyable now as then. Who says 26 is too old to be watching cartoons?
